hey guys, just need to know urgently:
If water is pushing out thro the bottle after a "hardish run" what could be the problem? There is no water and oil mixing at all. If it is the head gasket, is it a plain and symple head gasket change, head skim and pressure test??
Is this a comman problem on the SX?
What gasket would you recommend and where can I purchase it?
ANY info will be greatly appreciated as I am contemplating purhasing a SX WITH THIS "PROBLEM" but the rest of the car is "sweet"
Thanx in advance

there is a chance it might be gasket. i experienced the same problem before mine went and also no water and oil mixing.
there is a certain amount of water that will push out until it reaches its own happy medium water level.
as far as i can understand is there should be a leak somwhere in you system so the water is not vacuming back into the system and instead drawing air. DOES THE WATER LEVEL IN YOUR RADIATOR DROP?
point number one is to check the radiator cap. if its warn and opening prematurely more than a normal ammount of water will push out

Thanx for the responce

Charl.
I am going to "look" at the car today/tomorrow so I will have more time to check it out properly. Is there a chance tht the gasket is not blown?
Which is the BEST radiator cap to use?

The Greddy 1.3bar cap is better than standard 1.1Bar caps.
Import Parts keep them for about R150.

Jsut make sure it's original Greddy 1.3 and not a "Freddy" 0.8 bar cap. The knock off's are very common.
I reckon we should do a group buy on Nismo Radiator caps and Nismo thermostats for all CA and SR and RB motors on this forum one time.

hope this helps
I never had that problem when the car was stock, but when I started modding, and doing 1 bar from stock motor and turbo it started happening...
and my head-gasket was fine, 100 %. There might be another factor apart from the head-gasket to this issue. I'm not totally sure though.

What "other factor" are you referring to?

My motor had a hairline crack in the head, when coming off full throttle it would shoot water out of the reservoir. But the head gasket was also a suspect.
