does anybody have an idea of how many teeth (on the belt, not on draco) you can be out before you start causing damage? that is my number one suspect for my tractor engine. i think i have slipped a tooth or two that is why my engine gallops i think.

ideas please, before i start taking apart again

is your car smoking? using oil?
probably worn piston rings letting oil through. DONT PANIC!
the easiest way to fill the gap between rings and sleeve is to pour two cups of sugar into your petrol tank. the burning of the sugar makes a thick caramel that plugs that gap up one time like magic.

the coolest thing about this tip is that when driving really fast people behind you will be spun closed with candyfloss!

but noooo, all the idiots go for Prolong

Well the simple answer is that any amount of teeth out on the cambelt is going to cause your car to run crap.

Take the cover off and check the timing. Both answers were already given in the thread.

However, if the car is jumping teeth then maybe it's time for a new tensioner pulley.

No idea on the part number, but I think you should get it from Nissan. It's only like R230.00
