Don't you just hate it when those bearings come knocking without calling first??

What motor do you have?

i would like to go N/A sooner rather than later - yes. but i would need to sell some stuff first to cover costs!!!

like my engine and gearbox and ecu, and ABS, and aircon, and radiator, and water bottle, and pretty much anything else in my engine bay. LOL.

I need to take a video about the noise because Sokar says it might not be bearing knock.. .

Phinx, it might be your lifters, I also thaught I had a knock after the rebuild but after some advice and and I concluded that it was the lifters, the guy did not prepare them before replasing them, so now I have a slight knocking noise on idle when the car is started, as soon I drive about 50m the sound is gone.

Hmm, lifters after the cam mods is highly possible. If it's bearings, fit my old sub.

Sorry Dude...

The Lifters don't like that cams with 9.5 lift at all (you live you learn) so Im going to fit my old set after the rebuild is done, But that just part of the problem the car does have bearing knock as well (the biggest noise) in the very early stages between 1500 rpm - 3500 rpm it the most prominent

Thats why me and Sokar couldn't figure out what was up with the sounds because of the mixture .

I had three good Mac's including a nissan expert ( how many of them there are !!!) have a look at the car and all said the same thing....

I'm really getting pissed off about this shit , I know I'm getting angry but I spent around R 5000 on the head 2 weeks ago before that the car stood for 3 months then ran for 4 months then stood again for 3.

In all honesty the bearing where going to go at some point the car does have 170-000 km, But I swear if I rebuild this motor and It gives me one problem afterward, I will sell the F$%king car and I'm not blowing smoke this time . I'm dead serious

I can understand why Vl@de is leaving, I really cant afford this anymore, this car is getting me in serious debt very quickly and I mean Sokar sold his, Dislex sold his and now Vlade... It seriously might be time to move on , I mean the car is only a nissan , Not a rare merc or something just a nissan.
There is no real support in the country and the car doesn't look that good.

Don't get me wrong , I love driving the car , I love whipping SR's and ST's and OPC's and so on but at least those cars can run for more then a few months. It's a OK car but nothing special

Sorry about the "Rant"

No problem just hope you come right.

I honestly dont know why you guys so many problems with your sx's, mine doesnt give 1 once of kak (ok except for the exhaust manifold leaking 4 times but that was my fault). Yes I do baby my car and dont drive it hard but then maybe thats why mine lives. If I had to sell mine now (any takers at 100k) I would just go buy another, I LOVE the sx and despite all your guys problems you know you do too.

Guys just remember even babies get sick so just because its a new car or just a new engine it doesnt mean it wont brake.

Phinx you know what gets me....you ran low boost, you ran normal timing, did some flow work and all, but you had some serios power, something somewhere does not click, how do you get a bearing knock with a less than stock boost, normal timing and better flow and and....it does not make sence, oil was good and all.....that begs the quiestion....was your timing and compression normal, was the boost actually 0.5.......

Phinx as for you getting pissed....I understand, too much is too much.
