I'm in the process of looking for a S13 200sx in good condition. I live in Durban so cars from within KZN would be best, although I am willing to travel if it comes to that.
The engine needs to be in good condition as for the most part it will be driven daily.
I'm looking at a price range of about R40 000 - R45 000.
If you know of any up for sale please let me know. Thanks
Belonged to an old man who passed away recently. I used to bug them to sell it for about a year and eventually found another one which I then bought.
Couple of months later I get a call from the old lady saying it's for sale. I didn't go to see it since I already had one, then later found out she sold it to the garage accross the road out of desperation (they had 4 cars and after the old man passed on she didn't know what to do with it. She had sold it for R22k!!!! I could have kicked myself for not going to see her.
Anyways, it's now at the dealer. 92 model. 144k kms. Overall great condition. Let me know if you're interested then I;ll get the number.

I'l try find a local car first, if I can't find one I like I'l look into the car u guys mentioned.
A one way ticket to JHB is less than 1k, and could be as low as 300 or 400 with banana or whatever el-cheapo airlines do the dbn route.
True, but then I have to see the car for the every first time and decide on the day if I want to buy the car or not. And if I don't like it I have to find a short notice ticket back to Durban. Which can be expensive.

Its just easier for me to try local first.
Ye you're right, I suppose it can get quite expensive after 1 or 2 tries. Best to take your time with these big buys. The more patience you have the better deal you'll get anyway. It's not like a sentra where you can go to 5 places in one day & pick 1 out of the 20 you saw.
I don't hesitate when I buy things otherwise I end up in circular reasoning between needs & necessities.
