Strut Brace

Post by Phinx »

Hay guys...

As you all know there is a lack of easy and cheap Strut Brace's for our cars .
So I don't know if anyone has checked but I have been wondering for some time if the brace off a 200Sti will fit.

Bolt patterns look similar and the length is around the same So I have contacted one off the performance guys up here in JHB and I have asked him to bring a strut for me to check so hold thumbs guys

its only R 400 if it fits

A strut brace will do zero for your body roll. You need suspension bits decent shocks springs and swaybars.

When I was making mine the problem I had with the sentra brace was the clearance over our intake manifold. Remember the sentra's motor is transverse and ours isnt. I did try fit one on my car but the bar was touching the intake manifold and wasnt even touching the strut mounts. I am not sure if it is the same bar as what you guys are looking at, but try it.

Ok bought one of the nissan 200STi Strut brace's

Unfortunately it can only fit one of the holes on the suspension strut and it doesn't seem to clear the bonnet.

I will do some panel beating to see if I can make it work

Can it work if you drill other holes and if your bonnet is lifted?

The Holes are not really an Issue.

The single hole, will hold the brace and should stop the flex.

I think it will work with a lifted bonnet, Because I can close my bonnet but the brace is pushing back
