 ???

Where and how bud ?

The car is stripped at the moment . I am going to fetch the Walbro pump this morning and order a new FPR and Fuel pressure guage. I have stripped the turbo off aswell just to clean everything up and replace the manifold gaskets, etc.

But please let me know how to check or bypass , because changing the fuel pump and FPR might not solve the problem and then I will be ever so slightly peeved !

It is the small aluminum box against the body infront of your turbo.....against the shock wall, its about 70x 70 mm with small finns....wires and your vacuum pipes goes there aswell....as for bypassing it, disconnect your vacuum lines and connect it together for now....it depend what the ECU sees....may the transistor is creating an error on the ECU.....bypass it, then reset the ECU by disconnecting the battery for 2 min. or longer while stepping on the brake to drain all capasitors of power....

It hit me just now....long back I had the same problem and the power transistor sorted it....ofcourse it might not be.....but it might be....

As soon as I have the car back together , I will test it and if it is the same , I will give that a shot.

Thanks again for the advice

I just went to and have a look at that transistor and noticed that 3 of the bolts that hold it in place were completey loose and 1 was allready missing.

You mentioned connecting the vacuum pipes together somehow, how ?
Would I connect all 3 via a t-piece ?

Actually one goes into your turbo intake if I rmember correctly.....so that one you need to seal air tight.....the other 2 you can connect or trace it back and take one out and connect the other directly.....forgive me....it's been a while since I worked on a CA....can't remember everything....

Right..... Just fitted a Walbro 255 fuel pump.

Now if only someone had a new original fpr lying around ?!?!?! That would be nice.

I don't know if I want to go aftermarket and I am convinced that the fpr is faulty, seeing as how it is dented in and the fact that there is a hose clamp on the return fuel line.

Anyway , at least I am moving in the right direction.

Hi guys

I would just like to take this opportunity to say thank you very much for all the advice and assistance with regards to my car's missfire under boost...

Thank you to : charlvdw / Draco / cursed_S13 / poizen / rat / ReeceZ / Lindt / NIZAN-R / Speed breaker / antman and Faheem from FSR - even though he wasn't on the forum, when I phoned him he gave me good advice as well and told me where I could get the Walbro pump without waiting. I also took PinkFluffybunnys advice and stripped and cleaned everything, intercooler , plumbing , AFM , everything !

I suspected the fuel pump and replaced it now with the Walbro 255lph pump and the "SHE-DEVIL" is now running better than ever. I suspect that is why the previous owner sold the car , probably didn't want to spend any money.

So even though it was the fuel pump that was the problem ( or maybe all the loose and dirty parts ), all the advice was taken to heart and at least now I know my car a lot better, and I now also know that everything else is working 100 %.

Thanks again guys, the Nissan200SX Club site is a truly great group of guys and I am proud to be associated with you all !

Hope to see some SX's running on Saturday (14-11-2009) at Killarney !
