Ok we have finally reached the stage where the car gets painted. I had the painfull task of picking a colour. I have a wall with colour chips, there are about 5000 chips plus the shades and pearls that change the chips. So the choice makes you go mad. I finally got a blue I liked and selected a blue pearl to go over it. It has a nice effect.

That is such a nice shade of blue, I've always had a thing for blue cars :) That shade almost reminds me of the Astra OPC blue, or S3 (new) blue, which is hot! I'm glad u decided to be different, it'll pay off. U don't see a lot of blue s13's around! :D
Are u going 2 fit any kind of body kit, or staying with the original cars design?

With the car in the state was in before painting I would have done few things different...

* Seem weld chassis
* Roll cage
* Body kit
* Bonnet vent
* prepare valance for V-Mount
* partly smooth engine bay... remove all the ugly brackets
* Black roof ;)

Very cool anyhow you look at it... Can't wait for finished product.

Project is taking very good shape.
I must ask this tho'
Why didn't you remove the door handles?

Because there is a piece of rubber by the key hole & a piece around the whole handle, this means it also gets painted.

which means it flakes off later & looks untidy......

Hey guys,

The door handles were not removed but the rubbers that surround them were taken off. Dont know about a kit Warren I did not want to do anything until I saw what the natural lines looked like in this colour. I did not want to go into so much detail with the car. I have done that with other cars and I want something different with this one. I want to use this car as a road race car. Plus I have three project cars being done so I cant put all my resources into one car. Good thoughts though Vlade thanks for the comments.
