ok guys an update...
swopped my CAS back into the car tuesday evening. took tobisterone's one off, cleaned it and sealed it in a nice ziplock bag. my CAS now has new bearings, thats all. i am also still running the same temp gauge.
yesterday drove the car to work. thats about a 35-40km drive. stopped for gas, joined hectic slow freeway traffice, and had some 120km/h cruising too. then had some off highway drving too. car behaved fine?
i thought it wasn't warm enough to display symptoms again.
then i drove to the track after work, similar situations as above.
i then spent the evening drifting, which can build the temps quickly, and still no problems. got a blip once or twice, and i was convinced it was coming back... but nothing at all happened.
then drove all the way home from wesbank to fairland.
nothing has happened yet.
so i assume it was the CAS's bearings!!!!
i will submit the CAS bearing rebuild article soon. like now, or this weekend, depending on how long all the photos take to load!!!
