Hehe Sokar, on a COLD morning average IAT was 12 degrees I floored it and saw IAT temps down to 5degrees . Now I have no doubt it would go lower but the w/m is set to stop injecting at 5 degrees via the Wolf. At that temp I would have nearly had frost on my intake mani .
I have since changed the settings so the w/m wont stop injecting at a certain IAT . Maybe this winter I can see 0degrees .
i think your cooler must be defective!!! you might as well install a interheater!!!
NEway, this intake air temp thing. the gotech wiring harness has a sensor, but the manual alludes to the fact that its a outside air temp sensor. i've heard of some people fitting it into the intake so that it measures IAT.
this sound right???

im really facinated... so just where would you have me put a massive ic
like i have fitted ? you know, seeing as to how its positively idiotic having it in front of the radiator?
the manual suggests that you mount the sensor somewhere where the heat of the engine bay wont affect it, so that it gets a fairly accurate reading of ambient temps. then you can compensate for the temp on the day!
but i think this was designed with N/A cars in mind, not turbos.
and i've read of guys drilling out a water temp sendor and mounting the air temp sensor in that, and then screwing that into the intake pipe - so that they can get a reading of IAT nicely.
so i assume it can work both ways??? which is nice???!!!???
