No. Not thatI can think off, but I used to do volunteer work for the coppers many many years ago.

otherwise it might have been something like "athlete's foot"

do you get copper nuts from eating too many doughnuts maybe?
or the sweaty stinky Hilux seats?
or the gun beating against your crotch as you are running?
maybe copper nuts is because the coppers sit around all day - that is why secretaries are mostly female
do coppers wear underwear under those coarse pants with the hungry looking zippers?
maybe the term came from horseback coppers... or bikercoppers

or as a fond memory of the time that more coppers still had nuts?
(ok ok I know they don't care because the justice dept lets them down due to over full jails, so no flaming necessary - i'm just speculating here)

my real question is, are copper nuts a good thing or a bad thing? Are you sure they're not brass? (easy to check, put Brasso on - wont work for copper (you need Coppo))
