That is why I was never good at graphs in school.
I just see four lines. Two lower then the other two.
I thought I was comparing the two bottom ones with the two top ones.
I'm so lost. Because by doing that, it doesn't make sense to me as the speed & rev's don't match when comparing like that.
fark!

If it helps, just look at the first sheet. It shows my before/after graphs at the same boost (0.7).

2 bottom lines are power 2 top lines are torque.
Hennie I really dont know why the AFR's matter so much to you but after I mapped it the AFR's are a straight line at 12.2:1 or 12.4:1 from low down all the way till the test ends.
I doubt very much that they bothered checking the afr's on the before run.
I could go to the trouble of printing a new graph but your opinion doesnt matter that much to me.
PS if you look carefully at the left hand column you will see the one graph says "Engine Power Ambient corrected" that means its corrected to flywheel.

Oh. I see.
@qwerty
That looks a little more then a small difference. How does the car perform, drivability etc compared to the previous setting?
@Calibrator
Do you have any cars with a unichip fitted with before & after. I'd like to know as I think that is the route I'm going to go.
my mods are just minor upgrades compared to the rest of the guys on this forum.
Also do you think it's possible to achieve 140kw at the wheels with basic mods & 0.9 bar boost?....that's my goal as you can see.

The 162.7 kw - That's a huge difference dude for me, I haven't driven it yet on 0.7 but saturday when it was 0.5 it was pulling so smooth that I honestly can't say when the turbo came on, even if you suddenly increased throttle with 4 or 5 revs it will just climb even higher immediately, no turbo lag. I felt the same thing driving a newish volvo t5, the turbo comes in so smooth and is not so powerful @0.5bar but its smooooooth, but i think on 0.7 its going to have a lot more oomph. I just want to boost as high as I can on pump fuel then I'm sure I'll be where I want to be power wise.WooHaa wrote:Oh. I see.

You might have to push that turbo of yours very hard, but 140 ATW should be achievable if you are boosting 0.9! Phinx is only boosting 0.5 and he seems to be making good power. Where is he & Sokar lately?

I can find some piggyback graphs but they vary considerably from car to car.
You may only get 5% while another identical car gets 15%
it depends on how sick it is.

Why I want it is because it's so easy to overfuel a car and take a dyno and just tune it and tell the guy "Hey, check how nice the power increased". The more data there is on a dyno sheet the beter you can "read it". It's like datalogging, logging only a AF ratio will help you F-all if you don't have the other parameters like vacuum,boost, rpm, airtemp etc. You can say it 0.5bar, but that's only a text you could've typed there. I don't say you're one of those "cheats" but I've seen so many guys "jipo" the graphs.The Calibrator wrote:2 bottom lines are power 2 top lines are torque.

Oh, and I didn't ask if it was flywheel or wheel HP. And another thing, my opinion is not always a critising one,

Hennie I may be a pain in the ass but I am always honest I dont believe in giving people graphs that I cannot duplicate another day. The graphs I print are for my and my customers information so I dont need to log and print a whole lot of data.
I normally log AFR's but I dont print them as a matter of course as it clutters the graph and confuses people.
I have the facility to log AFR, boost, EGT and oil temp if I wish to as its not my dyno and I dont know if the stuff has been setup properly I dont use it.
In a few months time when I have my own dyno it will be a different story.
