Why dont you e-mail this guys and ask about his tire wear...
Looks like he is running some mad ass negative camber!

What Mario has said here is right. When running negative camber you gain more cornering grip and thus more cornering speed. On a straight line the tire will wear on the inside after a considerable amount of burnouts. But the one thing Mario forgot that with narrow tires you dont get such bad tire wear.(some thing to do with the sidewall, VC might help me right here)
If you are not sure...Go to any leading wheel alignment shop and they will tell you!

I think you guys are missing the point here. On my SX with 225 45 R17 Toyo T1R's I get no tyre wear what so ever. I am not doing burn outs or draging so that has no effect. Tyre pressure is set to 2.2bar on the front and 2bar on the rear.
I agree if I were running loads of camber with a low profile and lots of pressure then yes I might wear the inside on the tyre, BUT I am not doing this. I have run this much camber on my car for over 2 year with NO uneven tyre wear what so ever.
I posted this topic to get some info on how to get my sx to handle a bit better, mainly get more grip up front. Yet I get 2 or 3 decent posts (thanks guys) and rest is just jabber from the peanut gallery. Bottom line is with the amount of negetive camber I said I get NO uneven tyre wear, so why are you guys trying to tell me I am??

Stupid question then. Go to Tiger wheel and tire and ask them what would be best to run on? Most grip and wada wada wada. Then come back to us and tell us then. Those guys have been doing alignment for how long now????
We dont work in a tire fitting shop. We drive sx'es and enjoy them! FROM THE PEANUT GALLERY!!!!!

Well Gary I just informed you on the effects, and you told me it does not cause wear! Then I just helped you by giving you facts that it does cause wear.
I never said that your car does have uneven wear, but with the specs your giving us here, too my knowledge it would. Same as you said with the BMW, and you were wrong. And I can bet you, you would be wrong about the beach buggy too.
I was just helping here, bringing forward the correct information and negative effects..... FROM THE PEANUT GALLERY

Rolling Thunder..........
Again I bet the BMW's that are getting wear the wheel alignment is not to factory spec anyways. My uncle used to work at a BMW stealership and said the only time they experianced wear was when they had too much camber, stock it never wore tyres. When people lower these BM's they increase the camber and wear the insides.
You guys said it will cause uneven tyre wear, but it doesnt I have the proof on my car right now. Yes if I run too much camber then I will get wear but I am not and this is a road car.
Just check the manual and front camber should be -1.25 - +5degrees, so at 1.25 degrees would it wear the inside of the tyres?? The rears are -1.5 - -0.5degrees, did the stock sx wear the inside of the tyres?? So can we say camber does not wear the tyres unevenly but excessive camber does?? I am not even 0.5degrees more and hence no uneven tyre wear.

Dude, just do what YOU think is right.
ALL IM SAYING: and this is not to you Gary, cause you think all of this was. ( I state again, I never said your tyres run uneven. So stop jabbing about your cars camber.) I'm only stating the facts here......
Before anybody goes and do the camber and toe. Go do research on it, because the is negative affects involved by doing it.
