The new HG was ordered to drop compression, just for a little reliability.
But I thought you were after more power, what did you drop it too??
"my daddy sed that the highly qualified and clever engineers at the factory designed the cars/engines so that all the little parts work together optimally but you will always have some backyard dudes with 120-piece toolkits from Hyperama and a drill thinking that they can do better"
My dad says the same thing, if you fiddle it will break (I get this everytime something goes wrong), and he is a mechanic for 30 odd years now.

Dont want to start this arguement again but leave it to the pros. I understand if you cant afford them but if you can send it in to a mechanic to work on (dont mean to be a prick now but how many of the guys here have met this same fate??). I am a qualified mechanic and still I call on my dad for his opinion, why because he is better than me, experiance counts here guys.

AKA wonderboy...I am sceptic hear, I still ask, how do you make your power if the boost is down, the timing is down and the compression is dropped.....I am sorry but it does not make sence....sometning was doen to make your power and that might have lead to the current situation.

Um Gary....the flow job was done after the power figure he shows, he would make even more now....but still could you make 20kw on the wheels with a flow job

True Draco but then he did just say that the HG was put now to lower compression. I know he had the CA18DE cam in there (so will I on Saturday, will post the difference). To me the motor has a turbo so use it, boost the bladdy thing to 1Bar, problem is the clutch gives up at a bar  .

It will make perfect sense one day once you realize what boost really is...

Gary - Cant wait for the Dyno , Will be very interesting . I really interested
Heard its around 7RWKW

And don't get me started on tuners, because thats a big can of worms. :?
R20-000 rand later and in the shit after someone has touch my car is not where I want to be

I have access to almost 60 years of experience about 40 years being race everything from Rotor to V8's and even they are surprised because they know the amount of time,Money and parts I use.

I have researched every modification made to may car and maximized its return with the next mod.

Boost: 8 Psi (0,55 Bar)
Timing: 12 BTDC
Comp: 8.3 est (Commetic)

148 RWKW was before the cam and other mods....

Problem is I will only be able to tell using my but dyno, cause since the last dyno tune (which is a different dyno to the one I will be using) I have fitted tubular manifold and bigger cooler and I can deffinately feel a BIG improvement. I think at 1Bar it will make more than 7RwKw more like 12RwKw or so, well from what I have read. If I can get close to 190-200RwKw I will be happy, that will be will only bolt on mods.

190-200RwKw you will be maxing or very close to maxing your injectors for a good part of your upper rev range if you are still using (370cc)

I would Say around 7 Rwkw because, It's a small change in degree and lift but it does give alot more midrange punch so there should be good gains there
