Why, is Vlades bypass valve also shut because of an o ring??

Vlades problem I can fix, what I wrote in the 1st post is the solution. I know it is because I have spend MANY hour getting the idle right on my car and have experianced the same problems.

Gary, you said close the idle screw totally right, if that is done the oring isn't a problem anymore because the screw stoppes the air before it gets to the oring, in other words my problem will be solved then....but you won't believe it......believe it coz it's true, the problem is still there.

Lets see if vlade gets his fixed, from there I will follow the pics....Vlade take photo's...please

No I never said close it completely, close it off slightly untill the cars idle settles. You will now have to open your valve a few turns (once you have fixed the o ring) and then close the throttle a bit to get it somewhere near std.

You can set the idle too what ever you want, once you have sorted out the o ring it is a matter of take a little here give a little there.

Why do you want it to idle so high?? I have a skimmed flywheel, lightened and balanced bottom end and still I want it to idle at 850rpm.

I just hate it when it sounds like it wants to die....I checked all yesterday, put another screw with fine oring, set it here and there, the same was happening, when I got to my GF's place closed it again totally and set it with manual, saw my dump valve stays open  gave it some oil and it seemed fine.

Came back this morning, car was idling very low, 0.8.....hated it...checked then saw I somehow managed not to lock the manual screw with the nut that sets the manual idle on the butterfly, it fell out but luckely onto one of the pipes where i found it, put it back, set idling again, seems fine, didn't jump to 1.5 this morning. Dump valve was still open so turned the bolt in more to make it harder to push out, it doesn't shhhhh so nicly now but it stays closed, will have to take it out and oil it properly.

try bring the idle down to like 1000rpm then, it will help with your fuel consumption.
