Whats the best plug in procedure? Start the car then plug in or plug in then start?

plug in then start although it should not hurt doing it the other way around...

Ok so with the friewire update its a lot better, but after a minute or so it freezes the whole time and i have to close it, then it says comm error and wont pick up

That is speed on the com port...it's either to slow or to fast...

How would you know if its to slow or fast?

You have to go into the com port adjustment under settings, amin and adjust it there...you have to keep doing it till you get a good speed...lower is normally better.

I just found your post on SNS, so the RS232 to USB is fine? I dont need a com to com cable?

Settings are 9600bits per sec, 8 data bits, parity none, stop bits 1, flow control none

Check what the bit rate is on the mr. turbo, then mach that and the rate on the port

i was thinking that but there would be a problem with starting then

We thought it might be the batt or the altinator, the batt was not charging, put in new(used batt lying around), it was charging and seemed better, would idle okish and sometimes die, so i have no clue whats up, could it be the altinator? how would i test
