Seems Mr AG Bell says similar things to Gary. I think I will test it on Mr Erro Sennins car :)

Great book  .

You see this is the problem everyone on these forums say put it after the IC but the experts say put it before. Personally I am more inclined to listening to the experts.

Mine is before the cooler now and all is well. Although I do hear a flutter if I tap off and the car wasnt boosting yet. Not sure if I should pull the shim out of the BOV, will make it blow at a lower pressure.

thats it then, as soon as i've finished reading all this fancy literature, i will take a coke along to vlades drug buddy, and have my bov installed before the cooler. its convenient that way too. i dont have to have a complicated pipe with different ID's at either end and an S-shape curve made to order. that sounded expensive anyway!

So whats the virdict, before the cooler or after??

Daune what you think??

Honestly on street cars with the boost levels we run I think either way is pretty much the same. I will test it on the car I am busy with but I dont expect to see much difference.

You may see a difference on a road race car or drift car but most people flat shift when drag racing so the dump valve never opens anyway.

And the possition on the pipe, where and how far from the cooler?? I will make it a smooth exit and everything so the flow is good.

i reckon put it where the air speed is lowest or the turbulence highest so it wont affect the airflow that much.
From a intercooler efficiency point of view bevfore the cooler is better but from a flow restriction point of view I reckon after the cooler is better. The pipe ID is bigger and the air speed is lower and I reckon at the intercooler outlet as the turbulence is highes there.

You could play for weeks with different positions and come up with no proper conclusion on a road car.

I would suggest just before the throttle body.

basically I think we are all stressing with the small stuff.

My Recirculation Valve is on the hot pipe because of piping constraints.
I know its not the best but it woks and I don't have the time or am I willing to waste the money to move it...
