RudeBoy wrote:powder, can you post a pic of the module showing the rear with the wires connected, as well as a pic of the coil packs

also a screen print of dicktator main setup page

want to see spark mode / charge time setup as well as pot setup
Spark Mode = Wasted using Home
Dwell Control = Constant Charge Time
Charge Time = 2.00 millisecond
No of Cyl = 4
Devide Ign = 2
Rev Limit = 7.1
Cut Spark selected
POT inactive
Fuel Pump prime 4 seconds
Load is MAP based

As for the pictures, well I will take some today when at the tuner....
I'm like so thinking of changing management systems at the moment....

that all looks pretty normal, i would normally run more charge time for coil packs - 2.5ms

see : http://www.dicktator.co.za/ignitermodules.html

Where possible the ignition module should be mounted on a metal surface and in an air flow region to aid cooling. Do not mount the module directly on the engine or on the firewall near the exhaust !

CAUTION! The use of ignition coils above 1 ohm may cause miss firing, overheating or damage to the igniter or ignition coil and void any warranty claims

Ye I read all that, but didn't get chance yet to check the resistance since it been at da tuner. I should be getting my car back tomorrow or so then I am gonna check that all out one more time just to ensure everything is right, if I still can't get it reving, I'm just gonna bomb a new system.

Is there anything else you can think of ? Can the crank pickup have anything at all to do with the module over heating? I personaly don't think so but I'd rather ask....

From all the info I have checked I can only see two potential problems, Pickup vibration (maybee not close enough even 0.5 0.6 at the moment) or coil resistance, or even a combination. I been reading a big fuss about the coil issue online though.
