Yeah did some reading on this yesterday... its a crap load of work... I'll need to source a lot of parts in order to do it... like spray equipment and so forth not to mention polishers and sanders...

i found a place close to me that can make anything out of carbon fibre. to make a mould for a bonnet and to make the bonnet, they charge 10k. but if i can get moulds they charge between 3 and 4k. so anyone have a mould for me. bruno, old buddy! hint hint.

Hey Gremlin, are this people in pretoria? "Carbom Fibre Specialists" i've call them a while back asking the same thing and i told them that i had a mold but in Fiberglass, the only shit is that my mold is a bit off(scew) and they say if it comes wrong they don't guarantee because is your mold.

They also quoted me with 3K and thaks a week or two.

What i suggest is: VLADE donates is bonnet to make a mold of it(i'll take it to the guy that did mine) we all club in for the expense, and if need be he can modify it with vents or something then whoever is interested we must order in bulk from "Carbom Fibre Specialists" and ask them for a lekker price.

Let me know coz i need to replace my bonnet next month after i'm done with the RB25DET

Ok so they say R3000 for a mold, how much to have one bonnet made?

The other concern that I have about the clubbing in for the mold is who owns it in the end?

Hey Vlade,
The 3K is not for the mold it is for the guys in "Carbom Fibre Specialists" to do the carbon fibre bonet if you provide the mold.
Now the ownership of the mold can stay with the person that has the biggest back yard to keed all the crap(which is not my case) that's the reason my all bodykit molds were stored badly and are in a bad condition. .
Now i still have to find out how much would this guy will charge us for the mold, coz when he did my bodykit he used to work from home but now he has a panelbeating shop we never know what prices will he come up with.
But let me know if kneen and how many people are willing to club in, maybe we can still go fiberglass rout mine wasn't that bad.
