Daniel, you know of course that I follow these threads very carefully? Why, because my sx is doing the same since a week ago. Great balls of white smoke during decompression, sort of smoke during acceleration and also smokinf badly during idling. And if I touch the feul pedal slightly during idling, it also smokes like hell. I can smell the oil burning. One other thing though - I dont get the boost up to 1 Bar. 0.5 the most!!!!!

Some members tell me it is turbo seals, and then we get the answers on valvestemseals etc. I need to do compression test, remove turbo geuso meter with other to check boost. To check sparkplugs.

So you slightly in front with the problem solving.

Cylinder leakage test=
pump compressed air into cyl while at tdc. Air runs through a gauge which shows you a percentage pressure loss.
Anything over 20% leak is poked you can also listen at the intake and exhaust for air leaks past the valves.

If there is plenty air coming out of the breather with no intake or exh leaks then the rings are shot.

its not cheap hey... expect to fork out above R500... Last one I saw was over a R2000 but it was as Snap-On item. And you'll need a compressor.
