ya, will definitly go for a bigger FMIC setup, and will probly go for dicktator as well, also i dont know if i have the time, and secondly and more importantly the know how to do the swop well enough myself, i would definitly want some one like RB25sx to do sumthing like this, with this swop i would definitly want to go for the s14 blacktop SR20DET, just one question, because its from a s14 will it still be a straight in and out, like with the redtop sr, or will there have to be new mountings and the likes?any1 know?

The blacktop fitted allmost perfectly on the S13 stock mounts ,Riekert had to slot the motor mounts slightly to make it fit perfectly .That took us 2 hours to find that out

I think only now that there are a couple RB25DET Conversions done/busy being done have people really realised what it costs. You think R25K then that Becomes R30K and you look again and you Over R40K and thats when you do it yourself. Pay someone to do it and you will spend over R50K if you want something nice with decent parts..........and thats still stock internals!............

Mine is almost done and I have 2 Guys interested in Buying it and I havent even driven it yet !! We'll see....

if you want info on any of these engine swap, then google is your friend. this has all been covered a million times before...

but if you want info on local costs of parts and labour, then carry on asking here and you will get rough estimates, but for accurate (hmmm thats far too precise a word to use regarding engine conversions)... you will have to speak to your tuner/mecchie!

my sr20det install cost over 30k, and i (and some friends) did everything ourselves. thats a stock rebuilt motor, barely any bolt-ons too, gearbox, management, and ancillaries.

also - i was lucky enugh to score a redtop sr20det and rebuilt gearbox with brand new t28 for only 7k, so you do the maths!!!
