1. get in car armed with wire cutters
2. locate button that opens and closes lights without turning them on.
(its the top one on the right i think in our cars)
3. pry it out of its socket
4. have a close look at the wires behind the switch (should be about 6+-1)
5. locate the brown wire
6. cut it
7. put the switch/button back
8. turn on lights
9.press modified button in
10. turn off lights
11. press modified button twice quickly - like double clicking a mouse.
12. do it over and over to get desired height!!!
fact (for my sx at least) - if you follow steps from 7 onwards, that is without cutting the brown wire, the headlights will wink (go up and down) alternatively. first one side then the other. thats if you do the double clicking quickly!!!
Another fact: One headlight will always stop before the other. Which in turn means one headlight will be at different heights regardless of when you decided to press the button again.
Personally speaking, my sx did the sleepy eye bit without having to cut the brown wire. With the new entire harness and engine harness I am not sure how things will be after everything is installed.
There is a brownish knob that you can turn next to the light, it has a black cover on.
when the lights are off, you just turn the knobby anticlockwise and the lights will lift up. It will reset after you turn the lights on again.... but its a cheap easy way...
