I doubt it but it depends on what you have to the motor, CR cams etc.

So you're saying that it drives nicely, but starts to vibrate over 4000rpm? If so, I had a similar issue, turned out to be the idler pulley not rotating, hence causing vibrations in the timing belt, hence causing vibrations from the engine.

Have you tried a leakage test??

no how do you do one

Actually there wouldnt be much point since you already did a compression test.

i've had this exact same problem when i rebuilt my engine.
when it came back from the engineers i reassembled it and put it back into the engine bay.
i double checked everything, and i was convinced that everything was cool.
i didnt notice it at first because i was running it in, so i never revved over 3500rpm, but soon it started displaying those same problems. it seemed fine below 4000rpm, but it couldnt rev much past that point.
i stripped the timing belt off to double check, and it transpired that the timing belt was definitely a tooth out. but i had counted the number of teeth in the belts between the timing marks on all three sides. everything was fine, except that on the exhaust cam, there was a mark right next to the proper mark for lining up.
the second mark (probably placed there by that phukka, murphy!!!) looked exactly like the factory standard mark.
once i reinstalled the timing belt it was fine. so i was a tooth out on the exhaust cam and i displayed the exact same symptom.
i say double check your cam and crank pulley alignment, its easy to get it wrong (even by error of paralax!).
if it isnt that - then my money is on a worn exhaust cam alignment pin, or teeth. that'll lead to misalignment of the CAS, which will give the same symptom!
good luck mate!

thanks for the advise im doing it now but did your dipstick push out as soon as the turbo boost

i dont often brag to people about my dipstick, and i do get excited when the turbo boosts...
but, alas, my dipstick has never pushed out when my turbo boosted.
did you stick your dipstick in the right hole???
if you cant find the right hole, here's a little trick - just put some hair there!!!
LOL - sorry man. thats a different problem!

How can I say this simply? Your engine is fucked!!!!. Compression tests are not good for much. I suggest you get a cylinder leakage test done that will identify which cylinders are the problem.
If there is enough blowby to push your dipstick out then the rings are either very badly worn or the rings are broken or pieces of the piston have been detonated off.

that what i said and i am use to not having hair around my holes so thats not a problem finding it its keeping it in ill start rebuilding on a second engin that i have

Agreed, maybe do what Vlade did and give the job to the pro's.
