More... I stll havnt added the Gasket-set, waterpump, Cam-belt other belts, tensoners ... ect

add about R 1000 extra plus I still have to pay Hennie for his work

Estimated this rebuild cost me R 15000 +

But I am getting some good power/ reliablity mods for my cash.

Ported head
Cams
Forged Pistons
Balanced Bottom-end
Knife-edging
L\weight Flywheel
1875 cc (almost 1900cc)

But still its hitting me hard on the pocket , bread and water is all i can afford

How much did they have to modify the pistons?? What is the CR now?? Whatcams are you getting now or are they the same old ones you had modified??

You ask to many Questions... :lol:

The cams will match Hennies work the compression will be around 8.3.

The piston needed very minor work basically just a very small pocket to clear the squinter as the skirt is just a bit to long

What are the specs on the cams?? Did Hennie do them??

Are you still going to run this motor on low boost??

The Cams are not that far from stock as cams are hard to get...
The lifters have been redone again...

Hennies not working with the Cams at all and Yep Low boost now it will be 0.4 bar

Yep Low boost now it will be 0.4 bar
Why why why?? How you going to keep the turbo that low anyway, have you changed the actuator??

8.3 Compression so that is 0.2 lower than normal hey?

Phinx what you doing with your old cam? Didn't you have a DE cam in?

Yep the actuator is fully adjustable currently at 0.3 bar...
I let the boost controller do all the work of keeping it at point 0.5 bar

Phinxie, how do you get to 1875. is that with pistons sizes larger than 1 mm (40th) oversized???? :roll: :roll:

Remember Freddy that his pistons is dished its not flat like yours so you gain a few extra cc's but not much its like 3-5cc's per cylinder.

Thats also why he has a lower CR.

84.5 mm bore, becuase the piston is 84 mm and we need a 0,5 mm clearance for piston rings

the stroke in 83.6mm and the rod length is 133 mm so the 1875cc...

Well maybe Im wrong the stock motor is 1809cc stock

0.5mm clearance? that's a huge... normally its like 0.003" to 0.004"
