Can u isolate where the sound is coming from?
If fuel rail, u might have buggered injector, might have stuffed pressure regulator (got one for u if u need it), make sure u have petrol , coz we all know SX's love stuttering when they suck a bit of air.....
Injectors though, will make a clicking/ticking sound naturaly as the nozel opens and closes.
If it is natural injector sound, then fuel pump might not be keeping up, what pump u got?
Is fuel filter clean or blocked?
Stutter might even be caused from vacume line poping off......
To isolate sound, press spanner on various parts near rail and hold to ur ear, will amplify the sound sort of.

Adrian, injectors can last a loooong time running at max open times..The problem is not your injectors here .
Look for a boost pipe that has blown off. This is most likely the problem .
If your on std. management this is exactly the symptoms you will be experiencing with an off pipe in the system.
