MAP Sensor for SR20DET / CA18DET Upgrade Kit

Post by POWDER »

Hey Guys,

At the moment this is just a feeler to see if there would be any interest in this type of thing.

I have gotten hold of a very nice product that would allow standard ECU users to do Turbo / Piping / Dump Valve / BOV and Air intake and output upgrades to their cars without worrying about how it will affect their Mapping.

As we all now the STD SX Ecu can calculate upto 1.1 / 1.2 Bar boost on the Std MAF sensor, this is taking into account that the STD MAF uses a 5.11 max voltage output MAF sensor.

So the idea is that I have gotten hold of some Upgrade kits that lets you convert your STD SR20DET / CA18DET from MAF driven to MAP driven, and it can still calculate upto 1.1 / 1.2 bar boost, ample for somone running on standard injectors which can safely supply upto between 0.8 to 1.1 bar boost (If you stretch it)

So in all this might be the first, cost effective, and EASY was for someone to start harnessing the power of aftermarket ECU's with the ease of still having the STD ECU.

The Kit will sell for +/- R1700.00, Still need to work out the costing more thougholy though, but will include:

1 X MAP Sensor for use on SR20DET / CA18DET
1 X 1m Silicone Vacuum Line
1 X Mounting Items Set
1 X Connection Plug Set

Let me know if this type of thing would interest you guys with a show of interested hands.

Nope, not from NZ, I must look into that though, sounds interesting.....

This is an SR20DET / CA18DET specific MAP sensor, plug n play.

What's this MapECU all about?
