Buying from ebay is cheaper than most local suppliers in most cases, but I would refrain from buying anything electric, because of the hassles you will run into if the item does not work.

I bought a AEM gauge from Rezlo it did not work, had to pay R50 shipping to him, and nothing extra to send it to the states and get it back and working again.

Haha,, well i must admit once i go online i just want to shop!

Just tell me how to calculate the price should it end here.
For instance item price : $45 + Shipping $24 = $69 + 14% SA vat + 10 % import duties = R684 ?

you dnt really pay vat its funny like that sumtimes youll pay duty but not all the time

i think vat only works if you reseller not sure

i just work out the price plus shipping and alow for 100-200 in duty

Kwl thanks for the help. i thought its gonna be k@k expensive to import. Ill let u know when im planning to try it once

I have no problem with people having there own business as i myslef supply people with printer cartridges ans. but if u can get it cheaper then why not!

Service is always a good thing but to pay R700 for a part on Ebay where some other okes sell them for R1400 is a bit of an over charge... :D just my 2c
