I got one of those adjustable arms on my turbo (ex-turbo) I point that the boost came on strong stayed the same just the over all peak was higher, never really noticed if this point moved, but it was around 3000rpm, before Wolf and FMIC

If you change to a bigger compressor wheel and exh housing it will take longer to build up to maximum boost no matter what you do with a boost controller and actuator adjustment.

Most people understand the exh housing but did you know the larger compressor wheel has more inertia so takes longer to get up to speed?

One of the reasons why doing what you did probably has the same lag as a T28 without the air pumping potential of the T28's larger compressor housing.

By the way all systems with electronic boost control (S13 and S14) build up boost as quickly as any aftermarket EBC as they bleed air out of the canister while the boost is building up.
This keeps the wastegate closed untill its set point is reached.

Did you know that plumbing your wastegate up directly to the manifold or via a fong kong boost controller opens the wastegate partially way before the setpoint is reached so delaying the onset of boost?

uhhm, i'm not sure about the sr20det s13 (RPS13) but my s13 (RS13) with its ca18det, doesn't have any sort of electronic boost control.

i know it has an electronic vacuum/boost solenoid on it, but that was always attached to FPR, and the wastegate was always connected directly to the compressor housing.

LOL - but its gone now, so no matter!

@ Calibrator
I understand that, but before the car used to get full boost at around 3200rpm with the T28.
Now I dinged the turbo arm to increase boost abit & she only pulls at 4000rpm.
Don't get me wrong, she pulls very very nicely, but can't I somehow get the boost in earlier.

@Autocade
I have seen the boost control your are talking about. Does it really do what it says on the box?
I think what calibrator is saying that my wastegate is a little open at low rpm is right. Will dis thing sort that out?
O'yes, how much meneer?

I am going to get some of my clients to post here or get a quote from them to post here of what they think of it, they got their boost much quicker, and price, uhm, its kinda on the expensive side, I barely make anything on it, but you pay for quality, check on my old site... http://www.motorcade.co.za under forced induction, thats top right.

Oh and I go D2 suspension aswell

Howdy,

I've been looking for an EBC, but I cant help but notice that the price for this GFB on your site is R4650. Thats a bit expensive, actually is friggin expensive considering you can get a Greddy Profec II for R3000 and thats a big brand make and has the same / more functions than the one you list, any reason for that? I havent heard of GFB before, am I missing something?

If your S13 is one of those with a boost control valve I can fit and map a smt6 and do boost control with low boost and high boost settings for R3000.
If it doesnt I can do the same and fit a boost control solenoid for R3600

Something to think about hey :)

Wedding is farken expensive.
You think the SX will run you dry......Get married & see what happens.

wedding happening on July......August, the car is all yours.
Maybe I win da lotto before or smuggle korean kids like WillyShaker, then you can have it before then.

it sure is. the guys at perfect power are really good okes it seems. then there's an official perfect power tuner/tester right here too. if you live close like i do, then its awesome.

why only get a boost controller, when you can get chipped, tuned, dyno'd and still control boost for the same price!?!?!?!

hows them apples???
