Stuck motor

Post by P3g4sus »

Hi guys
So I did a rebuild for my CA, New rings and bearings, motor turns well if i torque the main bearings to correct torque setting, then I started with the bigends, everything went well till I got at No4 bigend, the the motor would turn, but very difficult, put it in the car, motor is stuck......

Any got a Backyard solution? can I pull the car in gear? trying to free the motor? Really want it to be running at japfest.

Motor is going out after japfest again!

Any help what so ever will be appreciated! thx guys!

Normally when a motor is stuck there is water or oil or something in the combustion chamber....take out all the plugs if any is in and try and turn the motor by hand...see what happens.... is your clutch ingaged somehow...is the car being able to move without the engine turning when it moves?

I know I sound like a dumbshit....which I am....just thinking with the little brain sells I have

I have checked the cyl before fitting the head, was dry as a bone, clutch works fine, I cant turn the motor by hand, tried a few times yesterday, thats why i wanted to pull it to try to turn it, I am just very desperate now!!!!

look, this weekend I want to use the car for japfest, The motor was turning when I closed up the bottom end, put it in the car, and it decides to stop, I thought of putting a bit of oil in each cyl, taking out the sparkies, and pull it, just to free it, obviously not at a 100km/h
