Fuel Consumption

Post by Christiaan »

Is 9.8387 KPL or 10.16393 liters per 100Km acceptable consumption for commuting between Centurion and Pretoria? I drive a stock 1994 Ca18det S13. Regards, Chris

sounds about right depending on how heavy your foot is. I used to get that with a 'spirited' commute to work.

Thanks for the replies! It is good to know that I'm not doing too bad. I think I should work at driving more economically, just to see what I can get out off a full tank. Regards, Chris

Owning a turbo charged sports car is never going to be "economical"....but it's well worth the fuel consumption...so make the most of it :D

So true!
Power is nothing without control,
Control is not fun without power.
Traction is over rated.

Fuel consumption improved since I fitted the vacuum line to the BCA. I now use 9.88 l per 100 km / 10.1 kpl. Also today I replaced all my vacuum lines with blue silicon. After that it feels as if my car is more spirited!

My Fuel consumption on a stock s14 was as follows, nurturing the throttle, never going beyond 2500rpm thrue gears, and driving at 110kmh maximum speed i was getting 12,1 km/l, ( the absolute best i could achieve), my worst was trying to kill myself, the whole time flat out, 2nd gear, then 3rd, then 4th, full on the brakes, doing it over and over again, 6.44km/l .

A std s14 :!: :!: :!: .

Currently heavily modified ,740cc injectors etc, to affraid to check, empty in no time  :!:

Thanks for all the comments! I'll try and put a little less foot and see what I come up with. Mine is my daily ride and I enjoy every moment.
