Charging advice needed. According to an auto electrician my alternator is not charging properly , however if I remove the battery terminal the car continues to idle , it actually picks the revs up a bit.

My reason for having it tested is that when I have the lights on and I put the fan on or especially the rear window defrost it kills the car. As if there isn't enough power to run the car's engine electronics and anything else.

Advice ?!
IF NISSAN MOTORSPORT IS NISMO , DOES THAT MAKE HONDA MOTORSPORT HOMO ?!

All your acessories draw power from your battery not from your alternator!!!!

Check you battery. Replace battery.

I think your alternator should charge 13,4v at idle. I agree with the battery being suspect.

This makes me scratch my head....as soon as you disconnect a battery terminal that means your fuel delivery shuts down....how does the car keep on idling?

a battery's main purpose in a car is to supply the 90+ amps needed to swing the starter motor.

after the engine has started, its the altenator that supplies the power that drives everything, the battery then only has a secondary purpose of absorbing spikes, and of course supplying spikes (when demand suddenly outstripes supply from the altenator)

if the nett supply from the altenator was not more than the nett demand from all the anchileries, how would your battery ever charge while driving?

Lol, ja, jou kar moet sonder n batery kan ry, dis wa op dit neer kom, soos 300SX se, dis net vir die start, dana moet jou altenator als verder aleen kan trek
