Cambelt Tensioner Spring

Post by OutOfMyWay »

Howzit people,

Basically, i sent my head to an engineering place with the camshafts and pulleys and tensioner still attached, got it back missing half the washers and the spring for the cambelt tensioner, so my question is, do i need the spring, i can tension the cambelt without it i think? if i do need it, anybody know where i can find one? all the spares places i've been to only sell the pulley itself.

thanks.

You will need the spring. Just can't remember what it looks like.

My preveous sx did not have the spring on and it did not affect anything, so if you can't get one....it's not a train smash from my point of view.
