Technical

Because I couldn’t get on a dyno before the install I took the Sentra for a spin around the block on the morning logging data and the AFR’s, After the install I Did the same thing keeping the redline at 7300Rpm just for the data run.
After the install on start-up the car at idle the motor was consuming more air, I could see this on both the TP value and the MAF voltage returned, Taking the car around the block, I had to richen up and extend the TP value of the map (Basically the pulse width at 7000Rpm when compared to my old data log , I had to add 11% more fuel to keep my 13.2 AFR, I had on the old cams.
I settled on a +4\-4 Cam timing after trying 0\0 and +2\-2, When logging data on those settings the MAF and TP wouldn’t match the values received on +4\-4. I know the testing isn’t as accurate as a dyno but it defiantly showed results when logging.
I played around with he cam switch points , I eventually settled for 5100Rpm switch on both cams
Impressions
---------------
This is where things get interesting to me the car feels slower but the nistune system offer like a stop watch system based on RPM and I can see the car is quicker on the system plus, I can see the car is consuming more air but one thing, I can say is the car is allot louder especially in lift. I’m now really considering going with a 76mm exhaust system for the car.
On a Side note, I also drove my SX around yesterday and all I can say is if the SX’s got a good pull away it would cream my sentra. Driving the SX is like driving a roller coaster it breaks traction mid first gear and the only way you get it back is by stepping off the pedal and will easily break with a snap shift from 1st to 2nd and its out of tune and hasn’t been serviced in 4 months.
Anyway thanks guys
