S13 rear brakes

Post by Jason200 »

Hey guys
I'm looking at replacing my rear brake pads & discs on my SX before the next Killarney trackday on the 18th.
Got two questions:
1. Are the S14 & S13 rear brake pads the same? I was told their different and I want to confirm this!
2. Got any recommendations as to what I should get?
EBC only have for the rear of S14! I have ATE pads at the moment and my discs went blue on its last outing round the track, don't want that happening again!

Thanks guys!

Hi Jason,

Try see if you can get Bosch pads, ATE normaly squeel alot and tend to run thin quickly. Since I have started using Bosch there has been no squeels and last alot better.

OK Well I am talking from experiance with my previous cars though, have not driven my sx around enough yet to replace pads....

Just my 2c though...

S13 and S14 rears are different.

When i was doing track days i had ebc yellow at the front and ate at the back. Had no problems at the rear. Fronts took a hammering

Perfect, thanks for the confirmation!
I'm also running EBC yellow on the front, pity they don't make for the rear.
