So you can have twice the restriction you get with one crappy wmic? i think not!widowmaker wrote:new idea!
hows about you put two stock ICs in the car in stead of a big FMIC that steals cool from the radiator? (one left one right)
any ideas on that?
maybe the extra piping will cause more lag? anybody?

No, you connect them in parallel so you have half the restriction, but the down side being that there's more volume to fill so maybe a bit more lag. Altho with less restriction the air should fill up more quickly?

The audi older Audi s3 came with twin intercoolers.
But they where even smaller then a nissan's.
The reason it's not advisable to use twin intercoolers on our cars, is because you get two pressure drops, which makes the lag even worse & she will boost alot later down the redline.
One big one, means, a single drop in pressure, less pipe work & more efficiency.

Hi Guys. I'm sill new to after market IC thing, but since i'm busy with the project.....
Does anybody have ideas / experience with what size to use, where to source from, etc.
CRD quoted me R5500 for a 5 & bit L IC mounted in the spoiler.
Another client of mine reckoned they placed a IC inside the engine bay, they just moved the radiator back a bit with custom brackets. Reckoned it's much easier and no cutting.

Those electric goodies are good for 1600 motors, & not higher. They do help, but you get a small power gain & a little better throttle response.
The best use tho' is to strip your wifes hairdryer & place this one there instead.
Forget waiting hours for your wife to blow dry her hair, it will take just seconds now!!!
