Well after what seems to be forever (3 months more or less)... I found a waterpump.

I was very close to get one from Ian(rezlo) but didn't want to pay over R1k for it. maybe in the longrun it might've helped. but ja...

So I got one for R650 from Spares Inc.

Its a GMB make. Saw some of these on FRSports website too. so though it might be good.

Well I'm installing it tonite, the fan (thanx VC) has also been fitted like i mentioned and rigged to always stay on when the car is switched on. not sure what the implications are with a fan that runs the whole time...? Will it die sooner?

Anyhow... well I can't wait to get home and fit the pump, fill the radiator and get the car running!!! whoohoo!!!!

it will shorten the life of the fan but some has been known to run for years....the biggest thing is it will draw amps from your battery and strain your alternator.....not much....it normally draws about 7.5-8 amps, if your alternator is in good nick it should not be a problem.

mmm think its still in good nick. I do need a new battery though...

what amp fuse should I run on the fan? just incase.

and should I connect a switch to it?

I think you should add a fan switch(thermo switch) and a tockle switch for backup, if you have 2 fans on...lets say a 10' and a 12', let the 10' run when the car is on and the 12' from the fan switch, remember to ad a 30 amp relay.

If you only run one fan...I would suggest a switch and a backup tockle switch....I would recommend adding at least 1 more 10'.

If you use only 1 fan a good quality 10 amp fuse will work with a quality fuse holder, if you use 2 a 20 amp is fine.
