breaking into you own car..

Post by 300sx »

sigh.. not holding out much hope, but does anybody know of a way to get into a z32 300zx without keys?

i had a break-in at my house early this morning, and one of the things that now seems missing is a bundle of keys that also has my z's keys on it.. bastards.

dont have to make it public here, but pls pm me if you had to break into your z before.. otherwise ill have to bite the bullet, sell a kidney, and call out a locksmith

Certain insurance companies will send out a locksmith for free. I locked my girlfriends car keys while trying to warm up her car in the morning and they come out for free.

does it have a pin door lock or is it like the SX ones on the inside? Best option will be to try and get in between the window and rubber on the side. then put a piece of wire through and try and hook/push the lock open on the inside.

Did that with my SX the other day. was a bit of a mission but I got it open.

If it has a pullup pin then its even easier. Just get a piece of that plastic strip you normally get on packaging, do the same manouvre like before but just loop it over the pin and pull it up. Quick way to open a corsa bakkie, if you locked the keys inside. :D

Will delete this in a little while... don't want to leave it here

Don't break the window and I'd recommend 3rd party, fire n theft insurance its cheap and you get good benefits including locksmiths, glass, free towing cover like AA.

I'm sure the window can move just abit out of place so that the locksmith can get one of those inflatable bags in there. if they pump it up abit there shud be enuf space to stick something thru to open the door lock.

thanx for all the sugestions guys.. i have managed to get it open without damage.

the zx can not be opened with traditional methods, because everything inside is cable operated.. but as with all such things once you khow how, it scarily easy.. i estimate somebody that knows how will be inside under a minute :(

thanx all
