Slight Misfire when warm

Post by dariodpg »

Hi there guys the RB25det runs fine. Then it misfires when the accelerator is push aggressively, but revs up smoothly when the accelerator is held at one point. I believe that it could be the Fuel pump, or perhaps the ignition system. Are any of you guys running an aftermarket ignition system?

Advice is greatly appreciated

PS the problem is occasional

Thanks guys

It's probably an injector issue. That was my problem anyway as one of them was stuck open and thus causing flooding. Started off as an occasional thing but soon became a major issue.

For peace of mind you should start upgrading from back to front (fuel pump, fuel pressure regulator, injectors, etc...).
Diesel power, hmm, yes, I think I'll have some of that.
