200sx s13?

Post by Alpine1 »

Hi guys, I'm a newbie to the club (first post in fact) and very keen on buying a 200sx s13. It won't be my daily drive (got an r26 Megane for that) but a project car. I want to know how much I could pick up a donor car (something thats motor is finished for eg. but the bodywork is decent)???

I know I might be treading on sacred ground here but I'd like to put in a 2JZ Motor and do it up (prefer it to the fantastic RB25 from a personal tuning standpoint). The reason for this choice is the amount of power I can get reliably. The modified Megs are making aprox 200-210 wkw so I'd like to see in excess of 350-400wkw in the 200sx  Has anyone here got a 200sx with a 2JZ motor? If so, how difficult was the installation and what did it cost?

Thanks

Alpine

The guys with RB swaps have paid R80k+ for their conversions. Not sure of 2jz swaps but should be around the same. I'm sure if you do all the labour yourself you can do it for less if you have the tools and skills. It's going to cost a lot whichever way you go about it.
Diesel power, hmm, yes, I think I'll have some of that.
