Got a colour , if all goes well it should turn out something like the skyline riekert posted with reg number 45-03, further up in this post. The black with the deep red pearl.
Bodykit now fitted, will prime the whole car tomorrow, and paint job should be finished in more or less 3 weeks, its takes 3 stages to get the colour. Black base, pearl and then clear. With a lot of flat work in between!!!
Will keep you guys posted.

Good day, fellow SX'ers
I have good and bad news, the awsome black colour is not going to happen. It's Going to be mid chrome (yellow) due to a sponsorship.
It will be done in the PANDA look but using yellow and black. Sorry to dissapoint. ( wonder if that could be called the Bumble BEE look)
This past weekend had Jacques from PPR in George arround and we did the following:
Sorted the Mr Turbo wiring.
Found an Intercooler.
Trial fitted dash.
Spray painted the first door.
Jacques also took the turbo to george for a proper rebuild before the car is up and running.
To be done this week:
Spray interior and cage
Spray rest of car - outside, The whole thing is going white first and only then yellow.
Do Ignition wiring, fuelling and start motor.
This weekend - off to the farm for hunting ( I'm also a PH)

Riekert just the pearl used to create that effect is plus minus R 3000 depending on how much you use, then still the base and clear. All and all it would be close to R 6000 for the paint alone. That excludes labour, primer, sandpaper etc!!!
I got the pearl and base for free, but still if you get an ugly scratch its a total car respray........ The pearl gives different effects, if used through different sprayguns and sprayed from different angles. etc etc etc .....
It's just not worth it in the end. I do not want a car that I would be to scared to pull out of the garage...
Will take some pics on Wednesday, when we have a lovely public holiday.

Almost finished, sprayed it white as a base for the yellow but now it looks so cool in white I wanna keep it like that for now and do the Yellow, as soon as I am sick of the white.
One door to do still will be finished on tuesday.
Riekert will mail you the pics, and once again thanks for all the help.

Just a quick update
I finished the white respray, but the bonnet was slaughtered with the sandblasting
The sandblasting caused the skin to come loose from the frame and now there are dents all over it.
26 to be exact, ranging from about a 10c sizes to 10cm big.
I have now taken the car to a friends bodyshop and they promised to have it finished by Friday... Will post pics as soon as I get it back.
Battling to find a new windscreen - so if any of you can direct me in the right direction it would be awsome...
After that I have to pull the motor once again, and redo the job I paid a "tuner" to do. The sump they made up is to low, and touching the steering rack. Deja vu - Funny how you always have to fix "tuners" work.
Will also be fetching my Turbo from Jacques at PPR in george next weekend...
So by the end of this month I hope to have the body work, and wiring finished, so I could at least start the motor.
Will post pics as soon as possible.
