Pintle of injector

ok....just back from the tests....this is what I found....
I took 2x 170 cc and broke off the pintle, checked the atomization(spray pattern) very good, then tested the flow, it basically dubbled......
Tested it on different ms's and different fuel presures....good...
Then I moved on to 270cc, found the same cateristics as the 170cc....flow was 460cc
Then I took the 370cc, the spray pattern was not as good as the smaller injectors, atomized but not what I would say satisfied.....but I was still prepared to use it
....then I tested the flow between the 2 370's because as I mentioned, I needed to make sure that the flow was the same when the pintle was broken off.....tested one....a wopping 640 cc
then I tested the 2nd 370cc one......550cc.....
Thats where it stopped, with the smaller injectors all the tests was positive, flow, atomization between the sets was great.....but for some or other reason when I moved to the 370cc....it differed
In the end I am now dead in the water.....if I had 6 of the 270cc that I could break off the pintle I could still use it...460cc would work 100% but I don't because 2 of them have broken selanoids.....
So the car will stand till I have money to import injectors.....

aag no man, sorry to hear - but isn't there a Laurel or bakkie or something that came out with something you can use? Don't know the earlier engines, but there must be something... I suppose you tried the matching at the shop thing, but if there is a Laurel out there, you will probably find spares at a taxi shop.

This is what i did:
found old 20L metal parafin drum, i drill one small hold at bottom and strapped it into the passanger seat, from small hole i ran some fish tank pipe to the air intake b4 booster, i drill hole into rubber pipe and aimed fish hose at turbo wheel. I then drill one hole after turbo and run hose and one way check valve (also buy at fish shop) with tube from there back to the top of the 20L drum... I got even smarter and buy air bleed fitting (amazingly also from fish shop) before the top of the drum...
Last step was to fill drum with methanol,,,
Now when i drive and car and i need boost it presurises tank and blows stream of methanol into turbo, the turbo makes it atomize better than any injector ever made, best part is my air bleed lets me control the spray to within 1milisecond.
Why bother buying bigger injectors, just hook up a methanol on demand system! works for me!
