CA18det pressure plates?
hi, tried both kits suggested on the site for the pressure plates. The clutches are the same, but not the pressure plates.
Site says R30MK or R90MK... some of the pins and screw holes don't allign.
Has anyone succeeded in using a different pressure plate or have their pressure plates modified or "rebuilt"
I think Draco comes to mind, and Chemcool
I have used a previous 4 puk button with the standard pressure plate previously and worked perfectly.
I am using the same pressure plate, but a new 6 puk button and its not doing the same job...
Want to either build a huge left leg or get a new pressure plate (not from agents - they are available at R1500/pop)
thanks

Mines made up of a few clutches. Sachs cluth plate, Valeo Pressure plate, Exedy thrust bearing, but I think it comes std with Sachs.
Theres a place in Krugersdorp that helped me called CBS. They work with Valeo and I think they will help.
I had some major issues with clutches, for a month I had to drive around lugging a 12kg flywheel looking for a pressure plate to fit. 2 places charged me R1500 for dropping my Gbox and just looking. R 1000 for towing.
So after some serious missioning and 2months CBS offered me the best 1day service and I havent had a problem as yet. They also well priced and offer copper clutches for Hi performance cars.

Well preveously it worked fine, the dells mached, the last time I did the flywheel(lightened) suddenly the holes did not mach perfecly
So I saw another clutch guy I knew and got some advice, easiest was to drill the holes to a M10, tap and so forth fot the m10....and walla....there where dells were needed, holes were made and so foth for the dells, then the clutch and pressure plate and flywheel was balanced....wallaaaaaaa

I am not as fast as you think - just want to understand...
This is also the issue I have - the delpins don't match, but I am also not sure that if I remove the delpins if the holes for the screws will match.
I have a new R30MK pressure plates at home, the R30MK being the closest match I have found - rest of dimensions.
I will take the extra flywheel I have, remove the pins, see if the torque holes on the flywheel match those of the R30mk pressure plate.
If this works brilliant... but then I do need the delpins in the flywheel
Did you increase the size of the delpin and holes on the flywheel as well?
