And no there is no official timing and official prizes.
These racers tests there cars from time to time, to get ur times. Mine was tested at Vanderbijlpark air field.
You got people that will just dump R200k on each of the two fastest FWD's you claim to own with no advertising? because unless the car is actualy seen at events people wouldnt know about them... So you claim you got people that waste HUGE amounts of money on 2 cars for no purpose but you here begging for parts both stock and performance?
I think the 9's you refer to must be 0-100kph...
Your color blind to boot...
Actually there are laws against street racing. I suggest you go read your road traffic act before making statements like that.step99 wrote:And Street racing is not "illegal". There is no law against it. There are laws against speed, a law about what lights u may or may not add to ur vehicle and a law against using a cellphone while driving a vehicle.
In Vereeniging on some Sunday nights, the traffic department closes the main street, Voortrekker Street, and then regulate the racing in town!!!!!
They do this so that they can keep an eye on the racing and the racers dont have to go to other places to race where there is no safety precautions. When this happens, the police and ambulance services are on hand for any problems or accidents.
So I don't know the actual situation in Vereeniging, but its seems the municipality would have to give permission for the racing to happen, not just the traffic department.Racing and sport on public roads

EPIC FAILHancoB wrote:So you and a some random guy driving on the N1 at 140km/h would get fined for street racing???
Or driving up a mountain doing just a bit more than the speed limit?
So that is to be taken as street racing then.
OMG my mother is a srteet racer then! Ha Ha
There might be written proof of such law yes, maybe, but to prove that in court will be impossible.
Trapping someone for speed is easier than trapping someone for street racing.
Come to think of it then, all those years in my youth playing cricket in the street then...HAHA
