Head gasket?

Post by Wicked »

What is the best to go for?

Copper or original?

Some of the car spare has a listing for the ca18 non turbo, will it work?

What is the thickness of the gasket?

Thanks.

I used a cheap one from a CA18DE and I'm running .8 bar boost everyday, no problems at all and its been good for 9 months now.

Its up to you what you believe in and what you like and want.

Why try save R300 when it could cause R3000+ damage?

well when the difference is more like R1000 you can consider it... especially since the DE and DET ones on the SR is the same... well some of the SRs anyway...

Hi Guys

Thanks for the input. As far as the original I got a price of R 2500.00 and I have to wait a month and a half.
I am still trying to get pricing on the copper and will have a look at all the options.

I believe import parts to metal head gaskets for about R1500... so why buy the original when you can get something better?
