Seems loads of folks are using a 600 x 300 x 76 universal FMIC from www.gotboost.co.za or similar. I'm looking to fit a FMIC into my S14.
Does anyone know how well these universal intercoolers perform compared to a Greddy type M or type LS intercooler?
Does anyone have the FMIC kit from www.importparts.co.za and if so how does it perform?
I'm looking to either import a Greddy type LS kit or use a locally sourced universal intercooler and get a piping kit. Which is the way to go? Help!

I am using a universal one ,not sure of the size and i will let you know in a week or so how it performs on my RB25 motor,If it can work on the RB then i am sure it will be fine with a SR20 engine .I personally think that you get what you pay for so the Greddy will always be a safe bet but costly due to shipping etc etc .

They use it on their drift cars and they're pushing 400bhp!

Fortunately I'm in the UK at the moment. Busy stocking up on S14 parts.veecee wrote:dude???
have you seen the exchange rates lately???
and shipping for that from the uk???

I've looked at local kits and they aren't that much cheaper and don't seem to be as good quality.
Thanks for the advice veecee and RB25SX.

Would a cooler that big not cause alot of lag??? (has a 76mm core) since the hairdyer has to fill all that volume for the boost to rise???
I'd go for the 550x230x65 Mr Turbo has... it has sufficient size and the impact on lag is not as much.
Well I'm fitting one of these on my s14 soon. Will let you know how it goes...
