2nd STREET 2 STRIP: Killarney Streetcar Drags - Fri 26th September 08

After our first successful streetcar Street 2 Strip event we had in August, Killarney will once again be opening their doors to the local streetcar streetracers on Friday evening from 6.30pm till about 11pm.

So if you or anyone you know has ever wanted to put their streetcar onto the Killarney main straight this is the perfect opportunity. Entry fee to get in is only R20 per person and it is FREE to race provided you complete the necessary paperwork (at the caravan from 6pm till 8pm) and your vehicle pass’s the safety check. The oval side of the circuit will also be open for Drifting practice from 6.30pm till about 9pm. (For info on drifting practice contact Jody on 0768382100.

Vehicles will be subject to a safety check so make sure you have all your wheel bolts in, battery must be fastened down properly and everything must be in general good working order. Required safety gear is everyone must wear long pants, top, closed shoes and adequate crash helmet. Crash helmets are available for hire from Dominic Tel: 0834773460 / dominic.williams@gobroadband.co.za

What to know:

Entry fee is R20 per person over the age of 12.
WPMC Club members free of charge, R20 per person with them over the age of 12.
Gates open from 5pm.

To race is free of charge provided you complete the necessary paperwork and pass the safety check, clothing, helmet etc

Entries will be accepted at the main gate caravan from 5.30pm till 8pm.
Scrutineering will be down in turn 5 scrutineering building.

My S13 is running again, if the rain gives us a break I will be there tomorrow night. Just came off the dyno. 235kw, 385nm. Will see what time it does on the quarter mile.

That sounds good,will be there if the weather is half decent ,not to race as SX is still having the RB25 installed,cant wait to take the RB on the track especially that i dont have any track experiece.OOPS

Looking at the weather, hope it will clear. If its dry I will also take RB25 Skyline, since its free to race.
