Oil and coolant Temps and Who has AC

Post by Pinkfluffybunnys »

Morning Guys....

I just want to ask a question what are your guy’s average winter day / summer day coolant temps and what cooling mod’s have you done?
I am asking because maybe I need to upgrade my radiator input from MR Raw will be welcome

For example my car is:

Winter Day: 75 Degrees C to 85 Degrees C (Oil Temp)
Summer: 75 Degrees to 95 Degrees C (Oil Temp)

This includes Pushing the car.

Mods:

15 Row Oil cooler

Also who is still running there Air-Con? I have only ever used mine 20 times in the past 3 Years and I want to remove it from the car now who has completely done this?

Im sure this will also increase the cooling to my Rad

i've removed the aircon system.

the bits and pieces are still in a box in my garage.

i removed the aircon radiator, compressor and all piping. made a decent difference to the coolent temps, but i cant give you specifics because i didnt measure it.

this was back when i still had the ca18.

i remember the needle dropping 1 mark on average, and never ever going above the halfway mark. it used to sit at the halfway mark all the time!

I monitor my water and oil temps like a hawk.

Water sits at 76 degrees in the winter and about 85 degrees in the summer, if I sit in traffic it will boil.

Oil temps remain about 75-81 degrees in the winter and since I change to TXT Softec they never go above 92 in summer.

Howzit Guys

As you know I am removing my air-con system because I don't really use it car is not a daily drive and needs extra cooling, anyway Just thought I would share that just the aircon pump and bracket come to 10Kg's only those two item with bolts

That means my last weight measured was 1150KG last dyno was 200 RWHP thats a 1.7 Hp gain in crude terms

Howzit guys I have removed the whole air-con system including the all interior parts total weight 17KG

Gain 2.9 HP and looking at that condenser there should be good increases in cooling
