Where can I find these Items?

Post by Wicked »

Hi Guys

I need some advice on where to find the following:
New brake disks for track and road use?
Polyurethane bush kit? I been quote R 2000 from Volkspares.
Strut brace kit?
What would you install first?

Thanks Craig

Brake pads for track and road use, try Power Brake, they sell some Hawk pads which should be fantastic on / off the road...

Poly bush kit, imported mine from the US (summitracing.com), was only about R800, give or take a little...

HI Vlade

Thanks for the information, would you just replace the pads or would you replace pads and disks?

Power brake quoted me R 3500 for the disks and pads

^^^^ what he said... those pads will destroy the stock disks in no time... or so I figure... Powerbrake disks can be used for track racing so its good enough for your usage...

But i'm only guessing... best you do your own research

trance101 got the pad and disk kit from them and so far working very well on and off the track.

i am running EBC Yellow stuff pads and slotted disks and they work very well, the pads might be a bit much for normal driving not as sharp as std ones when cold

I also use EBC Yellow stuff and they work very well(with Brembo disks).I have used them on some heavy track days and they seem to stand up to the punch very well.Try Rezlo for the EBC pads he is much cheaper than Quatermile.

@ wicked - try Jerry at Importparts for the Polybushes and also drop Hanco a PM, he's got some really fancy schmancy disks that he fitted recently. The Powerbrake Pro-Street price u got seems right. Also bear in mind that Powerbrake are the official suppliers to the Ferrari Challenge cars, so the quality is rather good.

Good luck,

Powerbrake are track proven, when it comes to brakes you really don't want to skimp. It's your life on the line after all.
Diesel power, hmm, yes, I think I'll have some of that.

The power brake disks and pads are great. I have them as rat said and I've used them at 2 track days and I drive my sx everyday. They are good on the track and on the street. I highly recommend them.

I got my polyuethane kit for www.frsport.com and my megan strut brace kit from ebay.
