cant be 13b can it? i mean, i smaak that motor, but it sure as hell aint cheap to mod or rebuild from what ive heard..I have something in mind, like I said its a feeler for now. The swap I have in mind has a large capital outlay to get the motor fitted, but the recurring and modding costs stay quite cheap at least till 300kw or so and I dont plan going that high short term.

The motor itself is around R4500 and a full rebuild kit (stock) is around R6000 last time I checked, that includes all apex and housing seals.300sx wrote:cant be 13b can it? i mean, i smaak that motor, but it sure as hell aint cheap to mod or rebuild from what ive heard..I have something in mind, like I said its a feeler for now. I havent seen any other motor that you can buy AND rebuild with OEM parts for R10k...

You can do 12k on a N/A Rotary but not a turbo'd one, the extra pressures bring redline down to a "piston reachable" 8k or so, but there are mods to make it rev high again but thats plenty bucks...Riekert wrote:well... you just need to do sum work on it.... but otherwise the rotary is quite cool... I mean 12k rpm!! Insane!!

The CA18det ask Nizan-R , but let be realistic that just 10K for a rebuild that doesn’t include install of management and a Rotor needs good management.I havent seen any other motor that you can buy AND rebuild with OEM parts for R10k...
Plus you are going to want to get a bigger turbo the driveshaft plus does that include the gearbox?
I mean you have an SR rebuild that

This really is just a feeler thread, I havent made up my mind one way or the other. I know the entire swap wont be R10k, I was just talking about the motor, my calculations put the entire swap at around R30kPinkfluffybunnys wrote:The CA18det ask Nizan-R , but let be realistic that just 10K for a rebuild that doesn’t include install of management and a Rotor needs good management.I havent seen any other motor that you can buy AND rebuild with OEM parts for R10k...

I really like the SR, however this is the second one I've bought that came with bearing knock. If I rebuild it and 4 months from now it gets knock again I'm gonna kick myself! and the motor! and you!
