Got this from Alistair - anyone in KZN want to setup an SX stall?

Details for the Max My Ride Motor Show which is scheduled for the 25th & 26th of October 2008 to be hosted in Ladysmith, KZN.

We would like to invite you and your car club to exhibit @ the show for both the days, bearing in mind that setup is on Friday the 24th of July 2008 & on Sunday the 26th you guys will be able to leave after 3pm. The stall will be given to your car club free of charge in order for you guys to promote & expand your car club in KZN which does have a huge automotive enthusiast base. Accommodation will be for your clubs account, however we will try and arrange discounts on the B&B rates for you guys, the rate does depend on the amount of club members & their families that will be supporting.

The show will be dubbed Northern KZN’s largest motor show which will be an annual event. Estimated attendance will be about 15000 – 25 000 people for both days as we are targeting the whole of Northern KZN which is Ladysmith, Newcastle, Dundee, Glencoe, Estcourt, Vryheid, Danhuaser, Colenso, aswell as surrounding towns, cities, & provinces which are Pietermaritzburg, Howick, Durban, Harrismith, Bethlehem, Gauteng & More. The show will be advertised in the Ladysmith Gazette, Ladysmith Herald both these papers cover the whole of Northern KZN, The Sunday Times which is National, East Coast Radio KZN only, Email adverts, Website adverts, SMS’s via IASCA, Posters and Flyers in Surrounding towns.

The show would comprise of the following:

- Iasca Sound off & Dyno challenge on both the days
- Rock Raceway Drifters featuring Florin Cozmuta & Crew
- Magesh the King of Spin
- Max My Ride Show & Shine Competition (Prizes & Trophies)
- Over 60 Stalls (Motoring Dealerships, Car Clubs, Styling & Accessories, Car Audio, Ladies section, Kiddies section, Food stalls & More)
- Beer Garden
- Main Arena for scheduled events
- And much more!

I did host an event in Ladysmith in 2004 which was a drag event and @ that time I had invited Speed & Sound, Opel owners club etc and we had a record 18000 people through the gate in ONE day. People in that region don’t have events like these, so they are starved, hence they support big time.

We hope to have you guys on board helping us to promote motorsport in that region, it should be a great getaway for your club.

NB: I do need to have confirmation from your car club before the 8th of August 2008 as I have to allocate space for your club display cars.
