highest boost on stock internals??
whats the highest one can boost the CA without loosing too much reliability and what power fuigure could one get?
4 million bar!......
Phinx made 150rwkw on 0.5bar and managed to crack a ring landing at what most consider "very low" boost
Its more about how much power the motor is pushing at a certain pressure more than it is about the boost pressure itself, remember boost pressure is the motor natural inability to "swallow" the amount of air given to it.... little food for thought....

Captain Slow to the rescue!
so what you saying is that one should 1st prep the motor before upping the boost? or take certain precausions?Sokar wrote:4 million bar!......

Yes and no... Guys in the UK run 0.8-1.0bar constantly without problems, but they have thicker air, most fit FMIC's prior to doing so, and they have very little problems or none at all...
Here by us (guateng), your turbo won't last long on 1Bar if you can even get 1Bar, then there are guys that say they have been running 1bar for years without problems on a completely stock motor...
It all depends, how your motor was taken care of, and what you are doing to prevent knock... and of course how your turbo copes with the extra load

Hairdresser MX5
so by me staying at the coast (Cape Town), it should decrease the problem factor when increasing the boost.Vlade wrote:Yes and no...
